Hollow Knight Silksong Bell Beast boss guide
Here's how to beat the Silksong Bell Beast.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is home to an abundance of bosses, including the adorable Bell Beast, and while some of them are less than happy to help you in your plight, others aren’t all that bad. The Bell Beast, for example, performs a very important function once you manage to beat him.
To help you do just that and ensure you don’t miss out on this beast’s abilities, here’s our Hollow Knight: Silksong Bell Beast boss guide.

How to beat the Bell Beast
The Bell Beast is found tucked away in a quiet corner of The Marrow in Hollow Knight: Silksong, just a short walk (and jump) north of where you first meet map merchant, Shakra. You’ll also need the Silkspear Skill to be able to enter his boss room, which is full of bells.
The fight against the Bell Beast isn’t too troublesome once you know what to expect from him. He has just four attacks that he utilises and you’ll spend much of this fight jumping over bells he launches at you while waiting for the most opportune time to attack.

Attacks you want to be wary of and how to counter them are:
- Charge Attack: The Bell Beast burrows out from beneath the ground on either side of the arena then proceeds to charge to the opposite end. Jump over him as he charges.
- Jump Attack: The Bell Beast burrows out from beneath the ground on either side of the arena and leaps to the other side. Stay beneath him and attack his tail two to three times once he lands.
- Bell Projectiles: The Bell Beast burrows out from beneath the ground in the middle of the arena and throws two bells either side of him before disappearing. Jump over the bells.
- Roar Attack: The Bell Beast burrows out from beneath the ground in the middle of the arena and roars before disappearing. This causes multiple bells to fall from the ceiling that you will need to run beneath or jump over. Sticking to one side of the arena also helps you avoid most of the bells.
As you can see, the Bell Beast’s moveset is simple. The most opportune time to attack is once he lands following his jump attack as you are given ample time to hit his tail two to three times before he goes underground again. Just be very careful to not get clipped by him as he lands, and if you see the ground shaking, be sure to move out of the way. Otherwise, the Bell Beast will emerge from the ground and do two masks of damage to you while he’s at it.

As the Bell Beast sustains more damage, his moves remain the same, but bells will begin to randomly fall from the ceiling while he unleashes his attacks. You’ll want to keep an eye out for any dust falling from the ceiling (as this means a bell is about to fall) while also dodging his existing attacks.
If you keep dodging the bells, jumping over his charges, and attacking him as he lands following his jump attacks, you’ll find that the fight is over very quickly.

Once you do manage to defeat the Bell Beast, he becomes your vessel for fast-travel, giving you a ride between any stations you have unlocked. It’s also worth noting that stations will cost Rosaries to unlock, so be sure to save some Frayed Rosary Strings for when any new stations you encounter in upcoming areas. This will make getting to and from the village in Bone Bottom and other key areas much easier.
Hope you’re enjoying Hollow Knight: Silksong!
