How to unlock Act 3 in Silksong
The steps you need to unlock Act 3 in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Reaching Act 3 in Silksong will take a lot of patience and some grinding, but it can be worth it as it unlocks an entirely new section to explore.
You'd be forgiven for thinking Act 2 is where Hollow Knight: Silksong wraps up, as it feels like the natural stopping point, but if you've taken a few key steps you’ll unlock the next Act where more adventure awaits.
On that note, here's how to unlock Act 3 in Silksong.
How to unlock Act 3 in Silksong
To unlock Act 3 in Silksong you must follow and complete the steps we've listed below, if you've not done these then it's very unlikely you'll be able to speak to The Caretaker and get into the Abyss. It goes without saying that you'll need to complete the main game before you can even glance at Act 3, so be patient.
Here's everything we've found so far that you must do to unlock Act 3 in Silksong:
- Defeat the final Act 2 Boss
- Unlock the Bellhome in Bellhart
- Find enough Lost Fleas so that the Caravan moves to Fleatopia
- Complete every Wish on the Wish Boards at Songclave, Bellhart and Bone Bottom (it's unclear if you do need every Wish, but to be on the safe side we recommend aiming for all of them.)
- Complete the Silk and Soul quest from the Wish board in Songclave when it appears (this is after you complete enough Wishes.)
- Speak to the Caretaker at Songclave during/after Silk and Soul, defeat the boss here.
- Once this is over, you'll need to re-load into your save file from the main menu and Act 3: The Abyss will begin automatically.
