How to get Needolin in Silksong

The Needolin is more than just a musical instrument in Hollow Knight: Silksong. This nimble tool is used to unlock various doors and secret passages across Silksong’s Pharloom, so you’ll want to try and get your hands on the Needolin sooner or later.

Unfortunately, you have your work cut out for you trying to get your hands on it as it’s locked behind a formidable opponent. Here’s how to get the Needolin in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

How to get Needolin in Silksong

To get the Needolin in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you must defeat the Widow boss found deep in Bellheart.

If you’ve rocked up to Bellheart and are wondering where she is, you won’t be able to fight her right away. Instead, you’ll need to exit Bellheart to the left-hand side and explore Shellwood, defeating Sister Splinter and unlocking the Cling Grip Skill first. This Skill, which allows you to double jump on walls, will allow you to reach Widow’s boss arena.

To then access Widow’s boss room, you actually want to go via Shellwood. Along the way, you also want to unlock a shortcut to Shellwood’s Bench, allowing quick and easy access to Widow; you’re going to be fighting her for a while.

The below map shows the route to the shortcut in Bellheart that leads us back to Shellwood’s Bench; you’ll need to destroy multiple bell walls and a thorny wall to reach this, while avoiding some Furm and Winged Furm enemies along the way.

Once you’ve unlocked the shortcut to Shellwood’s Bench, your route from the Bench directly to Widow is marked on the below map:

You’ll then need to defeat Widow, which is no easy feat, and your reward for completing the fight will be the Needolin. As the fight concludes, you must Bind to Widow multiple times to fully finish the fight off and unlock the Needolin.

You can then use the instrument to unlock doors around Pharloom or serenade your favourite NPCs.
