How to get Silkspear Skill in Silksong

The Silkspear Skill in Hollow Knight: Silksong is a necessary tool for unlocking some very important tools and quickly piercing through enemies.

Hornet has a whole new arsenal of Skills and abilities to utilise while beating up bugs, birds, and more in Team Cherry's long-awaited sequel, and Silkspear is the first of these that you'll want to get your hands on. Here’s how to get Silkspear in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

How to get Silkspear in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Once you make your way to The Marrow in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you’ll soon run into the game's map merchant, Shakra. I recommend farming Rosaries in the nearby Mosshome and buying everything she owns; it’ll make your navigation of Silksong much easier.

That aside, once you do meet Shakra in The Marrow, your first Skill – Silkspear – is just a short walk away.

From Shakra, advance upwards into Mosshome and keep left. Kill the Pilgrims in this area to gather some Rosaries and to the far left of the area, you’ll see a lever above you. Use the platforms in this section to reach it and attack it. This opens up a shortcut just below, but we don’t want to go down there right now.

From the lever, continue advancing upwards (and don’t forget to grab the Rosaries that are just to the right here before heading up).

Be careful of the spike traps in the next area and keep killing Pilgrims while heading to your right. You’ll soon come to a silk barrier that you can’t destroy just yet; head upwards of it.

Collect the Rosaries up here and head left; you’ll arrive at a very grand looking structure, and upon inspecting it, will unlock your first Skill, Silkspear.
