How to get the Hunter’s Journal, also known as the bestiary, in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is home to a bestiary for those who carefully keep an eye out for it. Also known as the Hunter’s Journal, this Silksong tool helps you identify what enemies you’re coming up against and what the lore behind them is, and it’s given to you by an adorable NPC.
To get your hands on Silksong’s Bestiary, you’ll need to venture into Greymoor. To make sure you don’t miss it, here’s how to get the bestiary in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
How to get the bestiary in Silksong
The bestiary – also known as the Hunter’s Journal – is located in the region of Greymoor in Silksong. More specifically, it’s found inside the Halfway Home here, which is just a short walk – and dash – from where you enter Greymoor via Far Fields.

Upon entering Greymoor from Far Fields, keep left until you come to an illuminated house. You won’t be able to enter from the right-hand side of it, but if you climb over the house, there’s an entrance on the left-hand side.
Once inside, you can buy a drink from the bar for 10 Rosaries, which fills up your Silk and Masks. On the right-hand side of the room, you can open the door leading outside. Just above the door, you’ll find a Bench, and just above that, you’ll find an adorable NPC called Nuu.

Speak to Nuu who will happily hand over the Hunter’s Journal while also tasking you with the Bugs of Pharloom Wish. To complete this Wish, you've got your work cut out for you, as you’ll need to defeat 100 unique enemies.

With the Hunter’s Journal in your possession, you can access it from your menu at any time to check out all of the bugs and beasts you’ve met so far. On top of that, to unlock further information about them, you will need to defeat each enemy a set number of times.
