The Tales of Transformation Special Research quest was released on Tuesday 2nd September and you have until Tuesday 2nd December at 10am (local time) to unlock it. Let this date pass without unlocking this quest and you'll lose your chance to access it! Thankfully, once unlocked, you'll be able to complete Tales of Transformation whenever you like since it lacks a deadline.

Just keep in mind that Tales of Transformation is a seasonal research quest. Due to this, the quest steps are being released in batches across the next couple of months. This leaves you with a choice - complete the quest steps as they're released or wait until the full quest is available before progressing through it. Rewards: Keldeo T-Shirt and three Keldeo Candy XL. You'll get a Keldeo encounter if you don't already have this Pokémon. If you do, however, then you'll be rewarded with 50 Keldeo Candy instead.

• Power up Pokémon 15 times - Three Super Potions
• Explore 5km - 2500 XP

Becoming accessible to every player at 10am (local time) on Tuesday 2nd September, you have until Tuesday 2nd December at 10am (local time) to unlock this quest. All you need to do is play Pokémon Go at least once before this deadline to get the Special Research quest and, afterwards, you'll be able to complete it whenever you like since it lacks a deadline.

If you're having trouble unlocking Tales of Transformation, try closing and reopening Pokémon Go. This should force the game to refresh and finally unlock the quest. It's also worth ensuring Pokémon Go is fully up-to-date as you could be a patch behind.

It's also important to remember that, as a seasonal quest, Tales of Transformation will be released in stages throughout the season sharing its name.
