A new month sees a different selection of Legendary and Mega Evolutions arriving in Pokémon Go raids, so it's important to know who is appearing when. After all, you don't want to miss out on a Legendary Pokémon and have to wait years for their return!

So let's take a look at the September 2025 raid schedule in Pokémon Go, including Legendary raids (five-star) and Mega Raids.

Remember - you don't catch a Mega Evolution from a Mega Raid. Instead, you get the Mega Energy for that Pokémon and an encounter with their regular form.

September is packed with Mega Evolutions! Why? Well I'm not sure, but I am wondering if it has something to do with the upcoming release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A which is set in the home of Mega Evolutions, Kalos. The good news is that's the perfect time to add some of the best Mega Pokémon (namely Mega Lucario) to your team.
