A Lightning Rod in Grow a Garden is a useful, albeit a little rare, piece of equipment you can use to influence how a specific type of weather behaves in your garden.
As you probably know, weather events can cause crop mutations in Grow a Garden but they're often random. So, how useful would it be if there was a piece of equipment that can control what crops mutate during thunderstorms? Very useful I'd say.

How to get the Lightning Rod in Grow a Garden
In Grow a Garden you can craft the Lightning Rod at the crafting tables by Isaac in the crafting/cosmetics stall. The Lightning Rod takes 45 minutes to craft once you've added all the right ingredients to the crafting table.
Here's the Lightning Rod recipe in Grow a Garden:
- 1 Basic Sprinkler
- 1 Advanced Sprinkler
- 1 Godly Sprinkler
- 500,000 Sheckles
When you've confirmed you want to make this recipe, you'll see a list of the items you need to add to the crafting table to fulfil it (not including the Sheckle cost). You can also use the indicated command to cancel your crafting list/choice if you want to!
The Lightning Rod can be placed down in your garden to redirect lightning strikes, but not to direct them away from your crops - you should direct the strikes towards your crops. This is because any crop that has been hit by lightning gets the 'Shocked' mutation and is often worth considerably more than its base variant.
The Lightning Rod can only be used three times before it's destroyed, you'll then need to make a new one.
