Good Deeds in Hell is Us are, essentially, small side quests you can do as you progress on your journey. You'll meet different people who all need your help in one way or another.

Now, some Good Deeds have fail requirements which can change the outcome of that NPCs' fate (usually for worse) in Hell is Us. Sometimes, you'll even get a different outcome based on what you have or haven't done as part of the Good Deed.
