How to get the Windstruck mutation in Grow a Garden
And its multiplier value.
The Windstruck mutation is crop mutation added to Grow a Garden as part of the Summer Update on 21 June 2025, and gives a x2 multiplier.
As with a lot of the plant mutations in Grow a Garden, you'll be on the look out for the right weather event, but there are pets than can help too. So let's take a look at how to get a Windstruck mutation!
How to get the Windstruck mutation in Grow a Garden
There are a few ways to get the Windstruck mutation, some based on the weather, and some using the right pet mutation. Here's how:
- Wait for a Windy weather event, which gives a small chance for mutation.
- Wait for a Gale weather event, which gives a higher chance for mutation.
- Equip the Pterodactyl, which occasionally gives a Windstruck mutation.
- Equip a pet that has the Windy mutation. Every 5 minutes, this gives a 20% chance for a Windstruck mutation.
You'll know which weather event is occurring because your garden will get, well, windy! White lines will appear on screen to tell you how windy it's getting. And a little weather icon appears in the bottom right-hand corner.
A Windstruck plant is actually quite difficult to find, as its appearance is quite subtle. Be on the lookout for a fruit which has grey lines appearing around it. They can be quite hard to see, but the fruit does appear to have captured its own little wind tunnel.
