The Sundried mutation is a crop mutation that was added to Grow a Garden as part of the Summer update on 21 June 2025, and it gives a massive x85 multiplier.

Like with most of the other plant mutations in Grow a Garden, you need the right weather event to get the Sundried mutation. So, without further ado, here's exactly how to get the Sundried mutation in Grow a Garden.

How to get the Sundried mutation in Grow a Garden

There is only one way you can get the Sundried mutation, which requires a weather event. Here's how:

Wait for a Heat Wave weather event. If your crops are hit by sun rays during the event, it will obtain the Sundried mutation.

You'll know when the Heat Wave is occurring because your garden will have a yellow tint/hue to it. There will also be a small sun icon in the bottom right corner of your screen, indicating a Heat Wave is in progress.

When the Heat Wave event is running, you can use the Tanning Mirror to increase the chances of sun rays hitting your crops. The Tanning Mirror is a Mythical piece of Grow a Garden gear you can get from the Gear Shop.

Any crops with the Sundried mutation will be slightly darker than their usual colour. Also, are you ready for this, any Sundried mutation fruit gives an x85 multiplier (no that's not a typo, it's genuinely x85) - which is extremely handy when you're on the hunt for some Sheckles!
