The Kitsune is one of the 6 pets in Grow a Garden that can be hatched from the Zen Egg.

Both the Kitsune and the Zen Egg were released as part of the Zen update. And while you may be on a quest to collect all of the pets, the Kitsune can not only duplicate other player's crops, but also apply the new Chakra mutation to them, giving a x15 multiplier.

How to get the Kitsune

To get the Kitsune, you’ll need to get hatch it from a Zen Egg. The odds are quite low, though, with just a 0.08% chance of the Kitsune being in the egg. Further to this, you'll also have to wait four hours before it hatches, so it can be very time-consuming to get hold of.

Added as part of the Zen update, the egg may not always be in stock, so you'll want to check back every 30 minutes to see if it has been added.

Kitsune traits

The Kitsune is the first Prismatic pet, and it makes sense when it comes with such a powerful trait.

Dubbed Nine-Tailed Myth, every 22 minutes, the Kitsune will apply the Chakra mutation to a random crop in a neighbouring garden, and then also clone a copy of it for you too. This is a shockingly good trait considering the Chakra mutation also gives you a x15 multiplier.

Not just that, but occasionaly, it has the chance to apply Foxfire Chakra instead, an even rarer mutation. We haven't yet worked out the chance of this happening, but we'll update this page once we've figured it out.
