Clay mutation can only occur by experiencing the Sandstorm and Rain weather events in Grow a Garden.

The Clay mutation makes your crops sticky and brown, but it's only obtainable by combining two mutations together on a single crop in Grow a Garden.

How to get Clay mutation in Grow a Garden

To get a Clay mutation, you need to combine the Sandy and Wet mutation. You get the Sandy mutation from the Sandstorm weather event, and crops can become Wet from the Rain weather event.

You'll know a crop has the Clay mutation applied to it as it will become a brown colour and will look slightly gooey.
