Amber mutations in Grow a Garden were added as part of the Prehistoric update.

The Amber mutation is the first of a three stage mutation process (the first of its kind of Grow a Garden), so, while you might be tempted to sell it straight away - don't! Instead, you should let your Amber mutation sit for a while as it further mutates to really bring in those Sheckles.

So let's take a look at the Amber mutation in Grow a Garden.

On this page:

How to get Amber mutation in Grow a Garden

There are only two ways to get an Amber mutation:

  • The Raptor pet, which is hatched from Dinosaur Eggs, has a 2.5% chance of giving a random plant the Amber mutation having being harvested.
  • Using a Mutation Spray Amber, which will add the Amber mutation to any chosen crop. This is the method you'll want to take for the other Amber mutations.

You'll know when a crop has the Amber mutation on it as it will be surrounded in a dark yellow box or rectangle (depending on the shape and size of the crop). The Amber mutation has a x10 multiplier effect on any crops it's applied to, so apply it to increase your profits!

Further Amber mutations

We've found that it's generally worth leaving your Amber mutation alone as, the longer you leave it, the more time it has to gain the OldAmber mutation, or even the AncientAmber mutation.
