Knowing the returning Pokémon and returning Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is quite useful if you want to do some forward planning for your team. Though you may also want to check whether your favourite Pokémon is making an appearance too!

Since Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set in the Kalos region, Lumiose City to be exact, it shouldn't be surprising to learn that the majority of the returning Pokémon we know about so far are part of Gen 6. Kalos is, after all, their home region. Still, there's a good number of returning Pokémon from pre-six generations too!

So let's take a look at all of the Pokémon Legends: Z-A returning Pokémon we currently know about. We've also got a page looking at the new Mega Evolutions.

Below you'll find a list of every Pokémon returning from past generations making an appearance in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

This list is based off of every Pokémon we've spotted in the Z-A trailers and included their evolved or pre-evolved forms even if said Pokémon wasn't included in the trailers. We've included these forms, because it would be very strange if they didn't make an appearance in the game. After all, you can't have a Gardevoir without first having an Ralts. Sure we'll admit it's a little bit of guess work, but it's educated guess work and we have listed which Pokémon haven't made an appearance in the trailers.
